STAMPERIA VALDONEGA, SIXTY YEARS OF ACTIVITY AND SUPERB WORKMANSHIP
FROM 13TH MARCH TO 29TH JUNE 2008 an exhibition will take place, dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of the Stamperia Valdonega of Verona and its famous editorial works that have become synonymous with quality among the bibliophiles all over the world.
The wandering exhibition inaugurates its journey with the first stop at the most important museum in Europe dedicated to the art of printing, Museum für Druckkunst, in Leipzig, Germany, on the occasion of the renowned international book fair that takes place every year, in March.
This is the first time in the history of the museum that a non German printer has been invited to exhibit his own works. Stamperia Valdonega, directed by Martino Mardersteig (recognised as one of the most important interpreters in the world of printing), with its partner Grafiche Siz of Verona, is noted for the high quality production of its books, often printed by traditional methods, but alternated by innovative procedures to meet the needs of a new clientele, who are also interested in the originality and unmatchable quality that Stamperia Valdonega always manages to express.
Stamperia Valdonega has always been a reference point for high level publishing and this wandering exhibition demonstrates yet again, after numerous recognitions both at national and international level, the company’s dedication towards its unique quality which has been constantly expressed since it was founded in 1948.
